Shop the new Santa Fe: Hyundai’s 2018 Santa Fe midsize crossover looks great and offers top-notch safety ratings, proven reliability, a comfortable interior with 3 rows of seating, strong warranty coverage, and a compelling price. It hasn’t been re-designed since 2013, but from a purely practical perspective, our reviewer gives it a perfect 10 for cost-effectiveness. He also wishes it were more fun to drive. All Santa Fes get a 3.6-liter V6 mated to a 6-speed automatic, with three trim levels available with front-wheel-drive or a $1,750 upgrade to all-wheel-drive. That engine produces 290 hp and 252 lb-ft of torque; FWD base trims are rated at 18 mpg city, 25 highway, 21 combined, while the Limited Ultimate with AWD gets rated at 17, 22, 19. The BlueLink infotainment system works well, supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and lets parents set speed, curfew, and geographic boundaries for teen drivers. And for 2018, Santa Fe buyers will get 3 free years of trial BlueLink service, rather than one. From the day I took delivery of my 2017 Santa Fe the only thing I did not like was the ride. It was very rough riding. I asked several forms and could not get a definitive answer. I was told by several people that the tires were the problem. They said the Kumho tires that the car came with were crap and the cause of the rough ride. Well, at 14,254 miles I bit the bullet and put on a set of Michelin Premium LTX 235/55/R19 tires. The difference in the rides was amazing! It is like night and day. While not a 10, the ride has to be somewhere around an 8 or so. I could not be happier and not sorry at all that I spent the money and switched. I hope this helps other owners in their quest for a smoother ride.

I drive a Mercedes C250 and I am changing to Santa Fe due to family expansions. The Korean car is so nicely built with solid structure and all the safety features that you would need from a car.

The Merc has been giving me so many problems since day one. I do not think i will go back to another European car again… Hyundai and Kia have improved a lot and they are slowly taking over old good brands…
