Audi is on a bit of a roll as of late and if you haven’t been paying attention to this German Luxury Car brand then you have been missing out. The S5 coupe has a base price of $54,600. The engine in the S5 is a turbocharged 3.0 liter V-6 that makes 354 horsepower and 369 lb-ft. of torque. The transmission is a ZF 8-speed automatic. I have the Sportback S5, and this is my 5th Audi in 25 yrs. And thus far the best and fastest. Stock, I'm getting to 60 in pretty close to 4 seconds flat. The car is very fast and super punchy off the line. I was sitting next to an RS3 at the dealer, which was actually a few $$ more (it was $70k and change) ...and although I think that car would pro. be a blast to own, for the same money (even a few quid less), you could own an S5. For under $100k, this car is a must to consider. Love it thus far. Did get all options — and will conclude in saying the Torque vectoring is a serious tool for back road running, partic. coming out of tight curves under heavy throttle, keeps the car totally inline.
