The 2013 Toyota Prius c is not only one of the most fuel efficient hybrids on the market, it is also one of the most affordable. When Honda released the low priced Insight, Toyota needed a vehicle that could present a great alternative to those looking for a cheap hybrid. The Toyota Prius c is a 4-door hybrid compact hatchback that averages 50 MPG combined driving. There are four different trim levels ranging in price from $19,080 to $23,360.This particular Toyota Prius c features a bright paint job called Habanero Orange. The Toyota Prius is one of the most successful vehicles in America. In fact they sell over 230k units every year. You might wonder why would they need a Prius c? Well the answer is because of the Honda Insight. The Insight a the cheapest hybrid on the market at just under $19k and Toyota felt they needed to be in that game and thus you have the Prius c.The 2013 Toyota Prius c is much smaller than the regular Prius but keeps the same hatchback wedge design which helps with fuel economy. This 5-door hatchback design is very practical for cargo and this car makes a lot of sense for young buyers or those looking to get into their first hybrid car.The engine is a 1.5 liter 4-cylinder that makes 73 horsepower and 82 lb-ft. of torque. With the help of the electric motor, power jumps to 99 HP but the result is a very slow car. On the other hand though, the 2013 Toyota Prius c manages 53 MPG in the city and 46 MPG on the highway. Something very unique is that the car is very lightweight with a battery pack that only adds 67 pounds. The Toyota Prius c should be on your shopping list if you are looking for a very fuel efficient car. Toyota has done a good job at creating a true entry level hybrid to rival the Honda Insight.See More Car Videos Join Our Facebook Page

Very fair review, as in, not being too critical or too harsh.

Well as Jeff Glucker said: «If you buy this car, you can't even spell horsepower. It's all about fuel economy.» (And with gas prices these days, even Scrooge McDuck couldn't deny 53 mpg is a bargain.)

And Jeff  was right when he said that there is something exciting about seeing how far you're getting and how little fuel you're using up. While he confessed it was a different kind of enthusiasm, he said it's certainly there with the Prius.

Wooo! i have the same car!
You really have to learn to drive a hybrid.
I've gotten up to 71mpg, but if you hit the gas a lot you can still get 55mpg…

Best way to drive is think of it as a ship.  You have to glide.  Economy of motion.
